Dutchess Chamber Announces 2012 Forty Under 40 Winners

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with previous Forty Under 40 honorees, has selected this years’ crop of Young Professionals to be presented with a Shaker Award.  Bestowed annually to 40 people under the age of 40 who have shown a strong commitment to the Hudson Valley, the Shaker Awards honor the next generation of leaders in our region.

Selected from a pool of over 100 applicants, this year’s group of Forty Under 40 winners ranges in age from 23 to 39, and encompasses a wide spectrum of professions.  Schoolteachers and entrepreneurs are feted equally alongside businesspeople and not-for-profit organization staffers, making the final list of 40 a true representation of the best of the best throughout the entire Hudson Valley.  The entire list of Forty Under 40 winners can be found by clicking read more.

The Shaker Awards will be officially handed out on Monday, March 19 at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.  For more information or to purchase tickets to the awards event, visit

Very proud of my son Matthew’s achievement. Contributing to the public good is a level of satisfaction that is hard to measure in both giving and receiving. It will stay with him for a lifetime. Congratulations.
