Foundation Scholarship Applications Still Accepted!

The Chamber Foundation, Inc., the not-for-profit educational arm of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, annually awards over $35,000 in scholarship money to deserving students in the Hudson Valley, and it’s not too late to submit applications for all 2012 awards.  All interested students should visit to view the complete list of available scholarships and download any applications.  All materials must be postmarked by April 1, 2012.

The Chamber Foundation, Inc. strongly believes that scholarships are a powerful tool in contributing to the overall development of a person’s future.  There is a wide range of scholarships available, including awards in the areas of: culinary arts, nursing, music, athletics, engineering, manufacturing and trade, journalism and communications and more.  The Foundation scholarships are extended annually to individuals who are in need of financial aid and/or quality based on merit. 

Among the myriad of available scholarships, the Chamber Foundation, Inc. is pleased to offer the James T. Hammond Athletic Leadership Scholarship for the first time in 2012.  Established by the Hudson Valley Region Empire State Games organizing committee and Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in honor of the leadership that Jim Hammond has demonstrated throughout the Hudson Valley, and in particular to honor his vision and dedication to bringing the Empire State Games to the Valley in 2005, this scholarship is available to any graduating high school senior residing in Dutchess, Orange, or Ulster counties in the Hudson Valley and who is pursuing a degree at a college located in New York State.   The scholarship amount is $2,000 per year and is renewable for up to an additional three years.
